What products do you offer?
We offer Life, Dental and Short and Long Term Disability to groups of two to nine employees. We also offer Life, Dental, STD, LTD, Vision, Voluntary Life, Voluntary Disability and Voluntary Dental to groups of 10 or more employees. Kansas City Life Group Benefits services groups of two to 3,000 employees, but specializes in groups of two to 200 employees.

Where are your claims paid?
Life, Dental and Vision are paid at the Home Office in Kansas City, Mo. STD and LTD claims are paid in our claims office in Westbrook, Maine.
Where may I obtain information about the Vision network?
You can find information about the Vision network on the Preferred Vision Care web site at www.preferredvisioncare.com or by calling 913-451-1672.
What is a group open enrollment period?
Group open enrollment is an annual period of at least 30 days during which eligible employees and/or dependents may enroll in the health plan if they are not currently enrolled.
Can employees choose their own dentist?
Yes, Kansas City Life allows dental plan members to choose any practicing dentist.
Additionally, all dental plan participants have access to the Connection Dental Network. There are more than 58,000 participating providers in the network who have agreed to reduce their charges. This reduction means dental dollars will work harder for your clients.
You can search for dentists in an area by logging on to www.ppousa.com or calling PPO USA toll free at 877-277-6872 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
